His television career started in 1986 on an impressionist programme called Copycats, a prime time ITV Saturday night show attracting audiences of 17 million. He then performed on Royal Gala Performances, Live from the Palladium, the World Cup, the Generation Game, the Des O’Connor Show and as a Pundit on Sky Sports.

In 1996 he spent six years working for Capital Radio presenting the Capital Gold Breakfast show, building his audience to a staggering 1.7 million listeners on an AM frequency. In that time he achieved three New York World Radio Awards, the Promax Gold Award and the CRCA Newcomer Award, and numerous sell-out concert tours.

He has worked worldwide for clients including; Ford – Shell – Carlsberg – Skandia Life – Royal Bank Of Canada – Umbro – NatWest – The PFA and The FA – CO-OP – The Football Writers Association-The Lords Tavernier’s - Lloyds TSB - Dennis Wise in the Community – The Bobby Moore Fund - Help for Heroes and BT.

At last year’s Rhys Daniels Butterfly Ball Mikes auctioneering skills raised £180,000. He is also in increasing demand to host conferences in the style of well known presenters. A recent engagement saw the client, Fujitsu Siemens, get six people for the price of one as Mike took on Michael Parkinson, Trevor McDonald, Jeremy Paxman, Des Lynam, Chris Tarrant and Jeremy Clarkson to ensure a conference to remember.

Mike went back to radio in July 2008 where he co-presented a national radio show with the legendary Chris Tarrant on Smooth FM until July 2009. They are set to return to Radio sometime in 2012.
