Now in its 17th year, the Champions of Motorsport dinner is one of the very best social events of the season. International motor racing heroes and champions from all walks of Irish motorsport join a star-studded line up of personalities and over 300 guests for an evening of entertainment, fun and serious fundraising to help stop the suffering of babies and children caused by disease and disability.
Our special guest this year is BBC F1’s Martin Brundle. Martin’s grid walks before races have become one of the highlights of TV coverage and he is greatly respected among drivers, team bosses and F1 management.
Martin has had a successful Formula 1 career, while also racing for Jaguar in the American IMSA series and World Sportscar Championships, and has competed in many race series including Le Mans. His broadcasting career started alongside the legendary Murray Walker and his commentating partnership with David Coulthard has been a real boost to the BBC F1 team.
Martin has promised to share some of the secrets from the Formula 1 teams and drivers in conversation with Guardian reporter and 5 live presenter Maurice Hamilton.
