Action hands in over 10,000 signatures to Downing StreetSince our last newsletter, we have reached our target of 10,000 signatories for our Stand Up for Tiny Lives petition. This is a fantastic achievement. The petition - calling on Government to increase public funding for research to prevent premature birth - was handed in to 10 Downing Street in December and received considerable media attention. But this is not the end of our campaign. We still need your help and have a bumper calendar of events planned, as you can read here. We also have news of some fantastic research projects. Thank you for your continued support. |

Touching Tiny Lives tops £2 million! We have topped the £2 million mark towards our target of raising £3m for our Touching Tiny Lives Campaign. But we still need your support to complete our vital research programme to help sick and vulnerable babies. Please make a donation - our charity relies entirely on voluntary support. Send us your pictures and stories of premature birth (via babybook@action.org.uk) so we can show the Government exactly how this lack of research funding is impacting on families around the UK. |

Action Medical Research is one of the country's leading medical research charities. For over fifty years we have been funding pioneering research into a wide range of illnesses and conditions. By pushing back the boundaries of science and helping to develop breakthroughs such as the UK polio vaccine, ultrasound scanning in pregnancy and pioneering hip replacement surgery, we play a crucial role in fighting disease and disability and improving the health and quality of life of everyone in the UK. So however you have been helping us, volunteering, doing one of our sponsored events or giving money, keep doing it because the support you give is helping to make a difference. |
