Q: What time do I need to be at the start point?

Registration opens at 7.00am and closes at 9.00am.

Riders will set off in small groups from 7.30am

18 or 17 with an adult.

Q: How fit do I need to be?

Reasonable fitness is required and you should be able to ride 50 miles in the weeks leading up to the event without too much difficulty.

Q: Do I need to have cycled 100 miles before?

No, we encourage riders of all abilities and for many this is their first 100 mile event.

No, anyone can take part.

We welcome support for our riders on the day, out on the route and at the finish.

There are feed stations and lunch is provided on route. Also a celebratory BBQ at the finish.

You must wear a cycle helmet to take part in an Action Medical Research ride.

Yes, we encourage team to take part.

Q: What kind of bike should I use?

A road bike is advisable, but you can choose to use a bike that suits you.

Q: What if my bike breaks down?

You should carry with you your pump and spare inner. There will be sweeper vehicles who can stop and help if you need it. If you bike is beyond repair, you and your bike will be given a lift to the lunch stop and/or the finish depending on whether you want collected or whether you wish to wait to the end to get the return bus back to Stormont.

The Highway Code and respect other road users and riders on our event.

No, this is not a BC event.

Q: If I haven’t pre registered can I still turn up and enter on the day? And if so, how much will you charge?

Yes you can. Registration on the day is £25.

Your registration fee is non-refundable.

Q: How much money do I need to raise in sponsorship?

You need to raise a minimum of £100.

Q: When do I have pay my sponsorship money?

Ideally you can bring your sponsorship with you on the day or fundraise using our on-line sponsorship account. We ask that all monies are sent to us no later than 8 weeks after the event.

There is ample free parking at the Pavilion Car Park.

There are plenty of hotels nearby that you can stay in. Please contact the organiser for a list.

The nearest railway station (& bus station) is Queen Victoria Station.

Q: Can I leave my belongings at the start?

Yes, you can leave a bag, labelled with your name at the start and it will meet you at both the lunch and finish point. But, we recommend you lock your valuables in your car, or take them with you.

Q: Is transport provided back to the start?

A bus is laid on to transport you back to Stormont where your bikes will be waiting for you. Bubble wrap is provided for your bike, wrap and put on van in Portstewart for transporting to Stormont.
