You are now in the Prize Draw

Training tips:

  1. With all of this great weather we have been having, we hope you have been able to get out and about on your bikes, putting some good mileage into those legs.  You should be up to about 40 – 50 miles by now.
  2. Contrary to beliefs’. Kent is not flat! Make sure you put some hills into your training schedule; this will prepare you nicely for what lies ahead on the Castle Ride.

......and, don’t forget, even though the weather is cold at the moment it is still very important to keep yourself hydrated whilst out training, so make sure you are taking in plenty of fluids whilst out on your rides.

Stay Safe:
Whilst it is important to get your training in, it is equally important that you keep yourself safe. There is lots of loose grit and some black ice about.  Be aware of the conditions and how they affect you and other road users.  Wear a helmet at all times, and make sure you can be seen!

Need a bike service
With all of the training leading up to the Castle Ride, your bike may be in need of a little TLC, so why not treat it to a service by popping it down to your local Halfords.

The lunch facility will be available from 10.30.
