March 2008
** NEWSFLASH **
Over 380 Riders have already signed up to take part
in this years ride.
Hello Rider!!!
Hope this email finds you fit and that your training and fundraising is going well!
This email is to update you on some details about information about your Castle Ride this year...
You are now in the Prize Draw
This year, thanks to Halfords we have managed to secure a fantastic prize. Every one who enters (and has already entered!) the Castle Ride 100 will automatically be entered into a prize draw, with the chance of winning a superb Chris Boardman racing bike, worth £600.

Training tips:
......and, don’t forget, even though the weather is cold at the moment it is still very important to keep yourself hydrated whilst out training, so make sure you are taking in plenty of fluids whilst out on your rides.
Stay Safe:
Whilst it is important to get your training in, it is equally important that you keep yourself safe. There is lots of loose grit and some black ice about. Be aware of the conditions and how they affect you and other road users. Wear a helmet at all times, and make sure you can be seen!
Need a bike service
With all of the training leading up to the Castle Ride, your bike may be in need of a little TLC, so why not treat it to a service by popping it down to your local Halfords.
Lunch Stop:
This year the lunch stop has changed. It is now a bit further into the route at 56 miles, in Headcorn. Lunch will be a buffet style, offering a whole variety of ‘yummy delights’ to keep you going, such as pasta, rice, sandwiches, fresh fruit, cakes, and drinks. The lunch facility will be available from 10.30.
Our Sponsors
A BIG thank-you goes to the following for their support;
Tonbridge & Malling Council, Halfords, KMFM, Volvo of Hildenborough, Mack multiples, The Kent & Sussex Courier and Multipower sportsfood
and finally.... don’t forget by you entering the Castle Ride 100 and raising whatever sponsorship you can. You will be helping Action Medical Research to build a better, healthier future for everyone. Thank-you.
