Many thanks to the 400 ladies who attended our annual ladies lunch, Dine with Davina, hosted by our loyal supporter and TV celebrity Davina McCall. This sell-out event was generously sponsored by BMI Healthcare.
More than £40,000 was raised to help support our Touching Tiny Lives appeal which funds vital research into pregnancy complications and vulnerable babies.
Guests were not only delighted with Davina's warmth and great sense of humour but also had the chance to meet Spandau Ballet's front man and 80's Pop Legend Tony Hadley, who is also a loyal supporter of Action Medical Research. Tony performed ‘Gold’ and ‘True’ at the event, much to the delight of the guests!
If you would like to purchase any of the professional photographs taken at Dine with Davina, courtesy of Modelhub Ltd, then keep watching this site for pictures that you will be able to keep as a souvenir of the day.
There is a great team of local business ladies who support this event throughout the year by helping to promote our Touching Tiny Lives appeal as well as Dine with Davina, securing some fantastic auction prizes, selling advertising space in our souvenir programme and making sure the event is a huge success. If you are interested in joining the organising team or know of any local businesses that would benefit from either coming along to the event or have their company brand associated with Dine with Davina then please contact Leigh-Beth Campbell on 023 9229 3139 or by email davina@action.org.uk
Action Medical Research is delighted that this event was such a huge success. The best news of the day came from Davina when she promised to be back next year on Friday 2 October.
