Location, Start and Finish: ScotPLOD 2009 is a circular route of approx 50km, starting and finishing at the Macdonald Cardrona Hotel in Peebles Teams will gather on Friday 12 June for registration and briefing sessions in preparation for the midnight start. www.macdonaldhotels.co.uk/cardrona
The ScotPLOD is closer than you think: Edinburgh 23 miles, Glasgow 64 miles, Newcastle 92 miles.
The Route: The ScotPLOD route has been designed by the Tweed Valley Mountain Rescue Team. You will be provided with basic route details on entry, the specific route narrative will be provided a week before the event date. More information about the ScotPLOD route can be found here.
Your Team: Your team can be all men, all women or mixed but you must have five walkers in total – if you arrive with four then points will be deducted. The sixth member of your team will be your support driver who will keep you fed, watered and generally maintained.
Your Kit: You will be expected to prepare your kit according to our guidelines, many items will be essential so make sure you have checked the list and do discuss it with the rest of your team. Check out the Kit List
