Tweed Valley Mountain Rescue Team provides a highly skilled and professional service, which is vital in the Borders region. The team is run entirely by a dedicated team of 40 volunteers from all walks of life, but with one shared commitment to help another fellow human who may be lost, suffering, in distress and or needing help.
The team does much more than its name may suggest, whilst the search and rescue of injured hill walkers is one of their recognisable services the team are called on to deal with a wide range of emergencies. Their highly trained and committed 'Search Managers' work closely with the police, searching for missing children, despondent adults, working at aircraft crashes and assisting during times of natural disaster.

The invaluable service delivered by the volunteers of TVMRT depends almost entirely on the voluntary income. Your support will help to ensure that the Team can continue to evolve and equip, to meet the challenges, which lie ahead in assisting the communities and visitors of the Lothians and the Borders.
