Directions to the start at Woodbridge at Woodbridge Town Football Club, Notcutts Park, Fynn Road, Woodbridge. IP12 4DA
From the south
Follow the A12 to Ipswich until you reach the A14 (to Felixstowe). Two exits after crossing the Orwell Bridge take the A12(N) to Lowestoft. At the first roundabout into Woodbridge (signposted local traffic only, with the Seckford Golf Course on the left) take the second exit. Continue over the mini roundabout and turn left just before you reach the Seal Public House and immediately left again into Seckford Hall Road. Turn left into Fynn Road (there is a small sign pointing to Woodbridge FC at this junction). Follow the road and Notcutts Park is at the end. There is a large car parking area available.
From East Norfolk and North Suffolk
Follow the A12 past the Melton roundabout and past the first Woodbridge Roundabout (at the ‘Shell’ garages). Exit the A12 turning left at the next roundabout. Continue over the mini roundabout and turn left just before you reach the Seal Public House and immediately left again into Seckford Hall Road. Turn left into Fynn Road (there is a small sign pointing to Woodbridge FC at this junction). Follow the road and Notcutts Park is at the end. There is a large car parking area available.
From the A14

The Start
The Suffolk Sunrise100 Bike Ride starts and finishes in Woodbridge at Woodbridge Town Football Club, Notcutts Park, Fynn Road, Woodbridge. IP12 4DA. Plenty of Parking available. Registration opens at 6am and closes at 8.30am. Riders who intend to cycle at a more leisurely pace should start as early as possible.
You will be issued with a rider number, a map of the route and written route directions.
Check-in opens at 6am through to 8.30am.
We would urge more competitive riders to make their way to the start as soon as possible.
Children under 16 years old are welcome if they are supervised by a responsible adult.
On The Road
The route will be yellow directional signs. There will be regular refreshment points offering a variety of drinks and snacks free of charge.
Refreshments are supplied every 20 miles with lunch at 60 miles.
If you are unable to complete the ride for any reason, you must inform a marshal or contact control and accept a lift to the finish.
Safety, Accidents & Breakdowns
All riders are required to wear an approved cycling helmet and ensure that their bikes are in good condition before the ride.
Out on the road we will have mobile first aid staff and roving radio communications from Raynet. The route is fully marshalled, to help you our and keep you safe, please comply with any instructions given by the ride staff and volunteers.
In the event of your bike breaking down, mechanics will be on hand to assist, but any parts must be paid for.
The Finish
We will be there to greet you at the Woodbridge finish line where we will need check in. After receiving your commemorative ride medal, you can celebrate!
Refreshments will be available at the finish.
Registration fee
Your registration fee covers the cost of running the event and any sponsorship money that you raise goes directly to benefit the Charity.
Fundraising
The Suffolk Sunrise 100 is all about personal achievement and having a great time. Most importantly, it is about you raising as much as you can for Action Medical Research. We simply ask that you raise a minimum of £25, which we know you can do easily, especially if you set up an online sponsorship account. Just let all your contacts know what you are taking on and the money will roll in. The average raised on many of our Take Action challenges is well over £100. To help you raise even more we will supply you with a range of fundraising ideas as part of your welcome pack.
Preparation for the Ride
You will need to do some training for this ride! Seriously, training is all-important, the more miles you ride in training, the more comfortable, and enjoyable the ride will be. Increase your training gradually and follow a balanced diet to prepare for the ride.
Once you have signed up, we will send you a useful training guide. If you are an inexperienced cyclist, this will help give you the confidence to take on your own personal challenge to go the distance!
Insurance
Please ensure that you have adequate personal insurance to take part in the ride and have your bike and personal effects insured for loss or damage. You must understand that you take part in this event at your own risk.
You absolve Action Medical Research from responsibility for any injury incurred or loss sustained to property through participation in this event, unless caused by the negligence of Action Medical Research.
