Truckers are often considered to be the tough guys of the roads, but they and their families suffer the pain of premature birth just like anyone else.
Truckin’ for Tiny Lives is a new initiative for truckers, the trucking industry and Truckfest in particular to support Action Medical Research’s Touching Tiny Lives campaign.
Truckfest will be backing Action Medical Research this summer at some of the events with our mascot Paddington bear, asking for truckers and their families to show their support and help us end the agony of premature birth. Please click to visit the Truckfest website and find out where your nearest event is this summer.
"I am absolutely delighted to be supporting Truckin’ for Tiny Lives.
I would urge you all, especially my trucker friends and their families, to give as much help and support as possible to Action Medical Research, a groundbreaking charity, which aims to make the misery of premature birth a thing of the past.
Each year over 1500 babies die because they are born too soon. Action Medical Research needs your help to pressure the government for more medical research funding, so that this terrible and unacceptable toll can be reduced.
I ask all of you to get behind us and give your support via Action Medical Research’s new campaign website at www.standupfortinylives.org where you can take action in a number of ways, such as making a donation, telling your friends about the campaign or contacting your MP."
