There are lots of different ways to support Action Medical Research. See below for some ideas of what you can do to help.
More than 350 million printer cartridges and 80 million mobile phones are thrown into landfill sites each year in the UK.
Why not do the environment a favour, and raise money for cutting-edge research into childhood conditions and diseases at the same time, by recycling them?
Action Medical Research is working in partnership with The Recycling Factory to generate valuable funds for vital research from recycled printer cartridges and mobile phones.
Through the scheme Action Medical Research will receive £1 for every recyclable inkjet cartridge received and up to £10 for a mobile phone.
Supporting Action Medical Research by recycling will cost you or your company absolutely nothing as all materials and postage are entirely free.
If you would like to be involved in the scheme, would like supplies of the recycling envelopes, a display box - containing 200 envelopes - or a toner display box, simply email
amr@trf-uk.com (quoting Action Medical Research), ring 0800 091 0696 or you can order direct.
Action Medical Research is totally reliant on voluntary donations and by recycling used printer cartridges and mobile phones you can help us create a healthier future for our children.
Unfortunately, due to the technology, TRF cannot recycle the majority of ink tanks manufactured by Epson and Canon.

Give Paddington pride of place in your home and watch the money mount up for life-changing medical research.
Put one of our home money boxes where you keep your keys, bag or wallet and feed it with your loose change. In no time it’ll be full of coins that Action Medical Research can put to good use to help fund potentially ground-breaking research projects.
Home money boxes are a great way to teach children the value of saving, especially to help a good cause. Every now and then we’ll send you a gentle reminder to empty the box and send us a cheque for the amount inside. And make no mistake; these boxes really do make a difference.
To start collecting today, give us a call on 01403 210406 or request one online and we’ll send you your very own box.
Who can resist a traditional English cream tea? No one, we hope! That’s why they’re a perfect way to help raise funds for vulnerable mothers and babies.
There are lots of peckish, hard-working business-people out there who would welcome an afternoon break and a chance to enjoy scones, jam and cream. We can supply everything that you and a friend need to box up cream teas that you can deliver to your local community or businesses.
Each cream tea box contains two scones, jam, clotted cream, a tea bag, knife and napkin. Some areas can also supply strawberries.
All the proceeds from the sale of the boxes go towards the Action Medical Research Touching Tiny Lives appeal, which raises funds for research into pregnancy and birth complications.
If you would like to run a cream tea event in your town or village call us on 01403 210406 or e-mail us at info@action.org.uk for more details.
