Baby bloggers inspire media frenzy

February 2006

Happy birthday Edmund and Aubrey

In December's Action Medical Research
e-newsletter we wished happy birthday to Edmund & Aubrey Holdcroft our 'baby bloggers' little knowing the media storm they would face in the run up to the new year.

The frenzy started when they appeared on the GMTV sofa.

Since then they have become media superstars and represented our Touching Tiny Lives Campaign with considerable charm on Sky News and BBC Breakfast.

They even got a BONG on the ITN news!

The press also picked up on the twins story and the blog got major coverage in most of the national and major UK newspapers.

As you can imagine since then we have been inundated with messages of support and if we do raise the £3m we need as part our Touching Tiny Lives Campaign, it will be in part, a large part down to these two wonderful little boys and their inspiring parents.

But the boys aren't babies any more and as Martin writes in his final entry to the blog

Twins go shopping

"Our babies have moved on from being severely premature hobgoblins to achieving a healthy, boisterous and exhausting normality. The horror fades, the permanent gut-churning anxiety gone, just this blissful everyday normality instead. Whatever else may happen in their lives is, for the moment, exclusively a family affair - for all the best reasons."

So good luck and thank you to you Viking, and to you King of the Elves, from all of us at Action Medical Research.
