Shedding light on epilepsy

Action Medical Research is funding a clinical trial for epilepsy treatment. Researchers are finding out whether light therapy helps people with the condition as medication isn't always an option. It could be a significant breakthrough for the one in every 242 children in the UK who have epilepsy.

Talented doctor leads blindness study

The charity is funding a gifted doctor's work into the genetic causes of blindness. Dr Lily Islam, who has worked with blind and partially sighted babies at Great Ormond Street Hospital, is using an Action Medical Research Training Fellowship grant to study why children have eyesight problems.

See The Difference

You may be interested to know that we are part of a new charity video portal, where you can see the difference you make to our specific research projects. The site highlights two inspiring but potentially upsetting stories about Alfie, a young boy who has had more strokes than birthdays, and Rachel, a young girl who developed MS. Watch our videos now and help children like Alfie and Rachel.
You can also share the clips via Facebook and Twitter.
