Mighty marathon runners beat the heat

A record-breaking 88 participants ran the Virgin London Marathon for Action on a scorching Sunday in April. Their fantastic efforts have raised over £150,000. ADHD study features on TV news

ITV Meridian has reported on the attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) study we are funding. Fourteen-year-old Cameron, pictured, who is taking part in the research, his dad and project leader Dr Jonna Kuntsi were interviewed for the piece. The study aims to find new ways to predict whether children with ADHD are likely to grow out of the condition. Watch the clip.

New Research Training Fellows announced

Three researchers have received prestigious Research Training Fellowships from Action. Mr David Wilkinson is researching therapy for a bowel condition that affects newborn babies, Dr Miriam Schmidts is studying an incurable genetic bone disorder and Dr Rebecca Hill is looking at childhood brain cancer.
