blooody hell. what a day.
pride comes before a fall eh?
i've been so stupidly proud of our twin buggy that cost a felching fortune, and today the thing fell apart...putting aubrey and edmund in hospital.
the handle of this buggy just snapped, i was pulling it up the steps to our front door and the poly-carbon-alloy vanker-thing just came away in our hand.
the buggy only went down three steps but ended up face down, and our boys took the full brunt on their little noggins. they've got nasty grazes, cuts and bruises on their foreheads, noses and chins. taking no chances the ambulance was there in five minutes, and they were taken off to hospital.
they're in overnight for observation, because of their tiny nature, and they're grinning and smiling through the obvious discomfort, maniac is staying there with them and tomorrow they'll proably be home.
but for the first time in my life I WANT TO SUE SOMEBODY.
the buggy is an "all-terrain" buggy, it cost a fortune, it is designed to carry two children of up to 77 pounds each, whereas our two little sprogs weigh about fourteen pounds each, so it was not overloaded.
i'm ringing the distributors tomorrow, i mean, apart from anything else, they should do a product recall on this, it is lethal.
update - the boys are fine, scabby, black-eyed and boxer-ish around the nose. but flirting with the nurses and grabbing anything in sight.
aubrey actually found that the bars of his hospital cot are grippable, so he was almost out of it in a flash, regular steve mcqueen is that one.
edmund just wanted to play with the curtains and watch the test highlights on the television.

Happy birthday to two very special little boys.
Born at 25 weeks and 4 days the twins are already veteran charity campaigners for the Action Medical Research Touching Tiny Lives campaign and we have been lucky enough to follow their amazing first year on this website.
