Thank you for visiting my sponsorship page.
I am making the challenge a second time round and cycling the great London to Paris bike ride in July for Action Medical Research.
For the people who know me well i am a sucker for these challenges, so to take it one step further i am cycling from Prolights head office (Darwen) all the way to Paris - an incredible 545 miles in 8 DAYS.
4 days will take me from Darwen to London on my own. Then i will join the Action Medical Research team (any my wife!) for 4 days of cycling from London to Paris.
As well as this experience I am cycling the following events as part of my training to prepare me for this challenge:
Cheshire Cat - 66 miles in March, Macclesfield Bikeathon - 52 miles in May, The Peak Challenge (Derbyshire) - 64 miles in June and Manchester to Blackpool - 60 miles in July
The most important part of this challenge is that I am raising money for Action Medical Research, a great charity that funds pioneering medical research.
For nearly 60 years it has been involved with numerous breakthroughs such as ultrasound in pregnancy, the polio vaccine and the hip replacement operation.
They fund many research projects each year which will lead to a healthier future for everyone. They are currently campaigning for the UK Government to put more money into research in to premature birth. Action Medical Research have funded over £4 million of research in this area but more research is required to understand why this remains the biggest killer of under ones.
With your help we can achieve even more medical breakthroughs.
