Last year I had a silent miscarriage. My baby died and I didn't even know it - I was heart-broken. I know miscarriages are unbelievably common but I truly under-estimated how devasting they can be.

Starting to run has really helped me mentally and emotionally cope with my grief.  At first, it was just to get out of the house and clear my head but it has become a bit of an addiction.  I am running the London Marathon in memory of my child I never got to know and with my 40th birthday this year, this race is also part of my bigger challenge of running '40 miles before I'm 40!'
Please visit my website  www.40miles.co.uk

When I started, I could hardly run round the block, but now I am our pounding the streets 3-4 times a week and loving it! I am not a natural runner at all and I definitely don't have the so-called 'running gene' but I am determined, and despite getting one injury after another I will do this challenge, so please, please sponsor me.

Action Medical Research is a great children's charity dedicated to improving the health of babies and children. The charity has been behind breakthroughs such as the UK polio vaccine, ultrasound scanning in pregnancy, and more recently the fetal heart rate monitor a new state-of-the-art device that could help save thousands of at-risk babies. You will also be supporting the Touching Tiny Lives appeal which is raising funds to help reduce premature birth and improve care of sick and vulnerable babies. Your support will help continue this potentially life-saving work.

I couldn't save my baby but hopefully by running the London Marathon and raising lots of money  for this charity, I can help save at least one other baby's life. So please sponsor me for this worthwhile cause.

Please tick the Gift Aid box if you are a UK tax payer as the UK Government will contribute an additional 25% on the money that I have raised.

Thanyou very much for your support and generousity.
