Hello!
Thank you for visiting Team GP's London to Paris sponsorship page. We are a team of media medics and friends who are getting on our bikes to raise money for Action Medical Research, a fantastic charity that funds pioneering medical research helping babies and children affected by disease and disability.
The famous faces among us are:
- Team captain Dr Dawn Harper, best-known as a presenter of Channel Four’s Embarrassing Illnesses and Embarassing Bodies series
- Dr Rosemary Leonard, from BBC Breakfast
- Dr Pixie McKenna, co-presenter of Embarrassing Bodies
- Dr Sarah Jarvis from The One Show
- Dr Rob Hicks, the Classic FM doctor
Dawn is a strong supporter of the charity's Touching Tiny Lives appeal, supporting vital research to reduce pregnancy complications and premature birth, and improve care for sick babies. Two of Dawn's three children were born prematurely.
She says: "It’s thanks to previous medical research and the hard work of the special care baby unit that my little ones recovered well and have grown up into healthy children. Not everyone is so lucky. Team GP are hoping to do their bit by raising as much money as we can for research into premature birth. You can do your bit by sponsoring us! However small, your donation really does count."
Please tick the Gift Aid box if you are a UK tax payer as the UK Government will then give us an additional 25% on the money that we have raised.
Thank you for your support
