Event: London to Paris 2007

On June 24th I successfully completed Ironman Switzerland for Action Medical Research.
The Ironman is a long distance triathlon that involves a 2.4mile (3.8km) two lap swim in Lake Zurich, a 112mile (180km) three lap bike ride before finishing with a full marathon run.
I completed the whole thing in a time of 12:10:53 (h:m:s). With splits of 61 minutes for the Swim, 6.5 hours for the bike and 4.5 hours for the run.
In my build up for this event I have put in over 4,000 training miles since January 1st.
Thank you to everyone who has sponsored me. As at 5th July we've collected £1,300 and there is a further £800 worth of pledges to be collected. This could take the total to in excess of £2,100. This massively exceeds my hopes of £1,200. So, once again, thank you.
Now the Ironman is done the next task is to cycle this years AMR London to Paris for the 4th time at the end of July. This time I intend to cycle from my home in Norwich to the start.
Whilst I don't have the knowledge and ingenuity to fight suffering through researching cures to disease and disability, I am willing to challenge my fitness in hopes that along with your generosity and sponsorship between us we can find cures for disease and disability.
