Congratulations and thankyou.  You have completed the first part of sponsoring me.

Now then you might have heard about a bike event in France that happens around the July of every year. No not the Tour de France, the Action Medical Research sponsored Cycle from London to Paris.

Well after watching full time bike riders enjoy sun and french wine i have decided to join them on the Champs-Élysées In July 2010.

But before i start pedaling i need to raise some money for Action Medical Research, a great charity that funds pioneering medical research.

For nearly 60 years it has been involved with numerous breakthroughs such as ultrasound in pregnancy, the polio vaccine and the hip replacement operation.

They fund many research projects each year which will lead to a healthier future for everyone. They are currently campaigning for the UK Government to put more money into research in to premature birth. Action Medical Research have funded over £4 million of research in this area but more research is required to understand why this remains the biggest killer of under ones. With your help we can achieve even more medical breakthroughs.

So there it is, 300 miles in 3 or 4 days, bit of a challenge, but with your support i think we might just do it.

Please tick the Gift Aid box if you are a UK tax payer as the UK Government will then give me an additional 25% on the money that I have raised.

Thanks again.
