Tribute Funds

Remember someone special

When you have lost someone close to you, a tribute fund can be a positive way of celebrating their life. Gifts made in memory are incredibly special to everyone concerned, and give a positive focus at a difficult time.

An online tribute fund is a dedicated memorial page where you can upload images and write about your loved one. You can use this page to raise funds in their memory; these funds will help fund vital research aiming to stop the suffering of babies and children caused by disease and disability.

Set up your Tribute Fund

Our first tribute fund was set up by Anne and John Netherway in memory of their daughter, Lucy.

Our beautiful and brave baby girl Lucy gave us so much joy, love and happiness in her short life. She loved to play, and her smiles and giggles would light up a room. When Lucy was taken ill, all of our lives changed forever. We knew the road ahead would be difficult and uncertain, but we lived in hope. Sadly, Lucy died after four months of illness, but we wanted to do something that was positive and reflected the love we all felt for her. As a family we feel that a Tribute Fund is a lovely way to remember her, and help to fund research into atypical HUS and other illnesses. On Lucy's birthday, our family make donations to the fund. We feel that the Tribute Fund means her memory will continue to light up the lives of many people in the future, just as her smile will always live on in our hearts."

We will help you manage your fund and provide you with updates about how your fund is helping us save and change children’s lives. We can help you grow your fund and inspire friends and family to do the same. For further details please contact Jane on 01403 327414 or email tribute@action.org.uk.

In Memoriam

Another way of celebrating the life of a loved one is by donating in their memory. Simply ask friends and family to make donations to the charity in the name of your loved one. Some families ask that donations are made instead of sending flowers, for instance. For further details please contact Jane on jtarrant@action.org.uk or 01403 327414.
