Action 100 Frequently asked questions

Question: Do I need insurance?
Answer: We recommend that you have appropriate cover for you and your bike.
Question: Are spare parts available for my bike?
Answer: Yes, for most common bikes. Spares are chargeable.
Question: What happens if I get lost or get into difficulties on the day?
Answer: On the day you will be given a contact number for our ride control, who will help with any issues.
Question: How long do I have to complete the ride and what happens if I can't complete the distance?
Answer: The ride closes at 7.00pm. Very slow riders may be picked up and moved on.
Question: Do I need to wear a cycle helmet?
Answer: You must wear a cycle helmet to take part.
Question: How old do I need to be to take part?
Answer: You must be at least 16 on the day of the event to take part; if you are under 18 you must be accompanied by an adult.
Question: What facilities are available?
Answer: There will be basic changing facilities at the start and most of our feed stations will have toilet facilities. Showers are available at the finish. Your bags will be transported by to the finish. But, we cannot be held responsible for the loss or damage to any valuables. There are feed stations and lunch is provided on route, including vegetarian options. Riders and supporters will be able to purchase food at the finish.
Question: What are the timings for the day?
Answer: REGISTRATION: 6:00 - 7:00 START TIMES: 6:30 - 7:30. RIDE CLOSED: 7.00pm
Question: Where is the finish?
Answer: The NEW finish venue is at: Staines Rugby Football Club,"The Reeves" Snakey Lane (formerly Feltham Hill Road), Hanworth TW13 7NB
Question: What is offered if I take the return transport option?
Answer: We provide coach transport and lorries for your bike will take you back to the start venue. You will be able to collect your bike on Sunday.
Question: Do you take luggage to the finish?
Answer: Yes we provide a FREE dry bag service and your bag will be waiting for you when you get to the finish venue.
