The Ascot Charity Ball, the most prestigious and elegant evening in the Ascot social calendar, will take place at Ascot Racecourse on Saturday 19 May 2012.
The Ascot Charitable Trust (ACT) was established following a hugely successful Charity Ball in 2001 in aid of ChildLine, which netted £55,000. It was attended by a host of celebrities, including its distinguished Chairman, Esther Rantzen.
The Trust was set up in 2002 to benefit both national and local charities, community groups and individuals with special needs, who live within the Ascot area. Our main fundraising event of the year is the Ascot Charity Ball, which has now become one of the most prestigious charitable functions in the Ascot social calendar. To date, the Trust has raised over £500,000, thanks to your generous and continued support.
Ascot is a very special area put on the map by Queen Anne in 1714 when the horse racing addiction started. This was further developed in 1840 when the railway station was built to link Ascot to London. Since those days we have seen lots of changes within the area and the aim of the trust is to make sure as an area we look to keep Ascot developing and help the people who live here.
