Outstanding sponsorship can be sent to: York 100, Action Medical Research, Vincent House, Horsham, Sussex, RH12 2DP.  We really appreciate the effort that goes into raising every penny - thank you.

Our Action DIVA York charity bike ride is calling all women to join the fun and take on this fabulous road cycling experience to help raise funds for sick babies and children. We’re passionate about cycling and thousands of cyclists return year after year to take part in our expertly delivered charity rides.  We know that undertaking your first distance ride can be a nerve-racking experience so that is why we’ve created Action DIVA, a wonderful 40 mile route which will be taking place on the same day as our well established York 100 event.

The York 100 offers a number of route options but if you are new to cycling then we recommend this 40 mile option which will take you through the Vale of York to the rolling hills of the Yorkshire Wolds to experience some of the best cycling terrain in England. We promise you a great day in the saddle and our friendly team will be on hand to look after you.

We want to gather as many DIVA riders as possible for a special women-only send off on the 40 mile route. This is still a tough challenge so get your girl friends on board, sign up early and plan your training.

If you are a more experienced rider then York 100 event also offers a Classic 67 mile route or the more challenging Champion route at 102 miles! If you feel up for the challenge then please join us. The longer distances will not have dedicated women-only start times – but we will still treat you like a lady!

"I've been involved with Action since I was a child and as a recent convert to road cycling I can’t think of a better way to support my favourite charity. It's going to be a fun day out and a great way to help such a special charity raise much-needed funds."

Samuel's story

Premature birth

Samuel was born by caesarean section, with three surgeons present. “He weighed just 3lbs 6oz, and was not much bigger than my hand,” mum Jo remembers. Now three months old, Samuel is doing well. At 8lbs 6oz he is still small for his age, but is putting on weight and growing well.
