Essex 100 testimonials

I had a very enjoyable time, finally achieving my goal of conquering the century (miles that is), The last 40 odd miles went from being a world of pain to a world a world of dreadful pain into a rising headwind ohhhhh. But hey, thats the fun eh:) The event was fantastiicly well run, everyone being particularly warm and friendly. I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks and admiration to all those wonderfull people who ran and organized the event. You people are the best :-)

what a lovely event. well supported, clear route signage and good choice of distances. briefing very clear, registration straight forward and marshal / support teams very cheerful and helpful. best feed station ever, such a selection of goodies. route [40 miler] was challenging but very enjoyable, everyone seemed to have a great time. will be back next year!!
nice medal at the end too.

Excellent event ! Well organised, well sign posted and for a really good cause. Classic course was good for a man of my ability, I am aiming for Champion next year and bring some pals along. If you have done a few of these types of event before; this one is well sign posted, has great pit stops snack and facilities and the massage at the end is fantastic. All in all a great experience raising money for a great cause.

Really enjoyed the 100 miles through Essex, the feed stations are great, plenty of good grub and a lovely cuppa, shame about some of the newly re-surfaced roads as they slow down your ride, nothing you can do about the strong winds but ensure you get to share the front. Pleased with my actual cycling time of 6.39, need to lose a few more pounds and I'm sure I can take 40mins off my time. This is a tough 100, my strava shows 3,562 of elevation gain and with some of the newly surfaced roads and strong winds its hared than we thought, fantastic coffee at the finish.

I just wanted to say what a fabulous day I had on Sunday. The organisation was brilliant as were the food stops along the way. I completed the 70mile route this year but cannot wait for next year to attempt the 100!! Thank you to all the volunteers and everyone else who helped organise the event. I hope you raised loads of money!!

Well organised event with some tough hills. The food stations were fantastic and all of the volunteers were lovely and couldn't help enough. We will definitely do the event next year. Well done everyone.

What can I say, this was the best organised cycling event I've ever attended with such great attention to detail from beginning to end. The facilities at the start and at every feed station were brilliant and manned by friendly volunteers. The feed stations were placed at regular intervals with excellent facilities and plentiful choices to eat. Lunch was amazing and really well presented. The 102 mile route was challenging and the signage was superb, no change of getting lost! I was really impressed with the whole day and already looking at next years events. Highly recommend this event and any others run by Action if they are anything like this! Thank you to everyone involved.
