More than a thousand cyclists gear up for Castle Ride 100

Action Medical Research is delighted to announce the start of its summer cycling season in Tonbridge on Sunday 13 May.

The UK-wide children’s charity will host the Castle Ride 100 with over a thousand cyclists preparing to take on the 33, 70, 101 or 124 mile routes.

Cycling for Sullivan: Alton team adds £1,100 to total with fundraiser for Action

Parents Karen and Russel Brown, along with three friends, are embarking on a massive challenge to raise funds for national children’s charity Action Medical Research. The five-strong team named the Paris Peddlers will cycle from London to Paris – a distance of 330 miles – in July 2018.

Dorset man sets his sights on Salisbury Half following London Marathon triumph

Moments after crossing the Virgin Money London Marathon finishing line, Lee Collier was already looking ahead to his next challenge for Action Medical Research.

The 42-year-old from Blandford Forum had initially wanted to break the record for the fastest male mascot at the weekend.

A man from Essex has successfully completed three marathons in three weeks for children’s charity Action Medical Research!

Pete Wiseman finished the London Marathon - the hottest on record - on Sunday 22 April in just over 5 hours.

‘Action Heroes’ take on 10th annual Horsham Pancake Race

A team of ‘Pancake Flippers’ from Action Medical Research braved the grey skies on Tuesday (10 April) to take part in the 10th annual Horsham Pancake Race.

The event – which is run by Horsham Rotary - was originally due to be held on 13 February (Shrove Tuesday) but had to be postponed following snowy forecasts.

Dorset man hopes to break marathon World Record as Paddington™

For many, just completing the Virgin Money London Marathon is a big enough challenge: but not for Dorset man Lee Collier.

The 42-year-old – who is raising money for Paddington’s favourite UK charity Action Medical Research – will also have his sights set on a new World Record.

Essex man to run 3 marathons in 3 weeks


A man from Essex is getting ready for a marathon charity challenge. Well, three of them to be precise.

Pete Wiseman, a Claims Adjuster from Hockley, will be taking on the Paris Marathon (8 April), Brighton Marathon (15 April) and Virgin Money London Marathon (22 April) for Action Medical Research.

75-year-old Lincolnshire woman prepares for 'Scumrun'

Carolyn Corliss is not one for a quiet retirement.

The 75-year-old from Bourne in Lincolnshire is dusting off her driving gloves and preparing for a charity challenge with a difference: “Scumrun”.

Teams are invited to buy a car (strict budgets are in place), decorate it and drive it around a mystery course across Europe.

Jane Chaplin, a mother of four from Southend-on-Sea, is preparing for the ‘London Landmarks’ half marathon on Sunday 25 March.
