Davina McCall honoured by Action Medical Research after raising £500k

Davina McCall has been honoured by children’s charity Action Medical Research after helping to raise £500,000 to help save and change the lives of sick and disabled babies and children.

The hugely popular TV presenter has supported the UK-wide charity since she was a child, inspired by her granny Pippy, and has brought her warmth and charisma to countless fundraising events over the years.

Kent mum supports research to develop simple new test to identify women at risk of premature labour

Researchers at University College London Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health have the go ahead to start work developing a new, simple test to identify early on in pregnancy women who are at risk of premature labour.

The study has been made possible with a grant of £91,171 from children’s charity Action Medical Research.

With funding secured, the 16-month study led by Professor Nigel Klein is now set to begin in January 2017.

Charity cyclist wins bike for fundraising efforts

A cycling novice from Earl Soham has won a bike in celebration of her impressive fundraising efforts for UK-wide children’s charity Action Medical Research.

Sandy Ruddock, who only began riding this year, was given a brand new Vitus Bikes Zenium Disc road bike last week by Chain Reaction Cycles after becoming the second highest fundraiser on the charity’s RIDE100 series.

Families should act quickly to snap up photography sessions as Muse Portraits shows its support for UK-wide children's charity Action Medical Research next month.

The Pakenham studio will be offering family portrait sessions worth £200 in exchange for a £25 donation to Action Medical Research throughout November to raise funds to help save and change children’s lives.

Four-time Olympic gold medallist Laura Kenny OBE is the latest athletes to join the glittering line-up of sporting stars at Action Medical Research’s Champions of CycleSport Dinner.

Laura has become Great Britain's most successful Olympic female competitor after winning the team pursuit and the omnium at both the 2012 and 2016 Games.
