A Putney woman received a helping hand from across the Atlantic when she was reunited with a friend from the USA to cycle from London to Paris in aid of children’s charity Action Medical Research.

Generous cyclists are on their way to raising more than £250,000 for UK children’s charity Action Medical Research after riding from London to Paris.
The 150 people who took part in the 300-mile ride from 20-24 July are set to collect the impressive sum to fund medical research to help save and change the lives of sick and disabled babies and children.

Horsham-based children’s charity Action Medical Research has launched a treasure hunt in the town to celebrate 40 years with Paddington BearTM as its official mascot.
A set of specially designed stickers have been hidden in small plastic tubs around the maze area of Horsham Park as part of a geocache-style treasure hunt which will run from Friday, 5 August, until Monday, 5 September 2016.

Children’s charity Action Medical Research has raised almost £55,000 to help save and change children’s lives after it sent out some 9,800 cream-teas-in-a-box in its nationwide delivery.
Thousands of delicious cream teas were sent to homes, workplaces and schools throughout the UK on Friday 1 July, earning £54,848 for Action Medical Research.

The Aon Benfield Summer Charity Bike Ride on Monday, 4 July, saw 200 riders tackle challenging 50-mile and 100-mile courses in the New Forest.
The fundraising has been boosted by a £38,000 donation from the Aon Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Aon plc.

Riders of all abilities took to the leafy lanes of Sussex on Sunday, 12 June, to join Davina McCall and raise much-needed funds for sick and disabled babies and children.
Some 450 cyclists, including skating legend Jayne Torvill, braved the rain for Davina’s Big Sussex Bike Ride which is expected to raise more than £30,000.
