The rules of the PLOD
There will be a 1st place awarded for the 4 official walkers and support driver for the PLOD LITE. First place will be based on the first team with all 4 named walkers crossing the finish line at the Edith Weston Carpark at Checkpoint 3 which is the PLOD LITE finish and breakfast stop.
In the PLOD FULL there will be 1st, 2nd and 3rd places awarded for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd teams with all 4 named walkers crossing the finish line in that order at Uppingham Sports Centre where the challenge ends.
In the event that there are not enough teams with all 4 named walkers still participating, the awards will be made to the fastest team of three named walkers crossing the finish line.
Spot prizes will be awarded to teams throughout the challenge.
All teams including named walkers and additional walkers must check in and out of EVERY checkpoint. This is important for the health and safety of all participants and support staff and failure to do so will result in immediate disqualification.
This is a charity walk and we ask that you all support and help each other. Attempts to mislead other teams such as moving markers will not be tolerated and will lead to the offending teams being disqualified.
