Action Medical Research are today announcing the launch of Action Partners, a unique initiative giving generous individuals and companies the chance to get an unprecedented insight into medical research projects nearing breakthroughs.
Commenting on Action Partners, Action Medical Research’s Director of Fundraising, Lewis Coghlin said:
“Supporters who become an Action Partner can choose to support one of three areas:
Touching Tiny Lives (aiming to prevent premature birth)
Stopping Suffering in Children
Preventing the Pain of Chronic Conditions (such as Osteoporosis)
“Action Partners then have the chance to meet and hear regularly from Action Medical Research funded teams working in this area, many of whom are leaders in their field.”
“Action Medical Research aim to fund the most scientifically excellent projects and therefore we’d be really hopeful that our supporters can “be there” as the breakthrough is made.”
The new initiative will be launched at a private dinner tonight at the Royal College of Surgeons, hosted by BBC Newscaster Fiona Bruce (a long term supporter of the charity).
