Brian Blessed - Letter to Editors
Calling all Adventurers!
As a true Himalayan devotee I am appealing, on behalf of medical research charity Action Research, to all would be adventurers to take part in a trek to Nepal.
This is a fantastic opportunity to see the wonderful heights of the Himalayas and should not be missed.
Participants in the Nepal Challenge Trek will go to the Annapurna region of Nepal between 5-14 April 2002 and complete a tough trek for six days.
Action Research has only a limited number of places available for those who wish to take part in this challenge of a lifetime. Further information is available by telephoning 01403 327477 or by logging on to www.action.org.uk.
As one of the forty trekkers, you will experience the wonderful diversity of Nepal - the world's highest mountains, beautiful temples and the tall grasslands of the jungle.
Walking for about 6-8 hours per day, the trek will take you through unspoilt land with plenty of ascents and descents. The route is not technically difficult, but sturdy boots, strong legs, and good cardiovascular fitness are essential. Prepare well for this amazing challenge.
Action Research's Touching Lives campaign aims to raise £2million during 2001 to fund vital medical research to benefit children and families across the UK.
Any one of us, at any time, may find ourselves in a situation where we benefit from this research. I hope you can help.
