Don’t miss out on the LA Fitness Capital to Coast charity cycle challenge

27 February 2014

Children’s charity, Action Medical Research is calling for cyclists to take part in the LA Fitness Capital to Coast, London to Brighton, charity bike ride.  Open to all ages, it’s guaranteed to be a great family day out, as participants cycle one of four routes finishing on Brighton and Hove seafront on Sunday 22 June 2014.

Starting from the famous London Eye cyclists can choose from two great routes down to the coast and cycle some of the South’s glorious and historic country roads. Participants will arrive in Brighton to a roar of celebration before heading off to bag some well-deserved fish and chips. There is also a 60-mile ride from Kempton Park Racecourse to Brighton and a 60-mile circular option starting and finishing on the Kings Lawns in Hove.

The three routes available are:

75 miles: Central London (EDF Energy London Eye) to Brighton
60 miles: Central London (EDF Energy London Eye) to Brighton
60 miles: Kempton Park Racecourse to Brighton
60 miles: Brighton to Brighton (circular route)

On the day, there will be free refreshments, mechanical assistance and first aid support available on route.

Cyclists riding the Capital to Coast cycle challenge for Action Medical Research will be raising money to help sick and disabled babies and children. Medical research can save and change children’s lives. Yet surprisingly, medical research into conditions that devastate children’s lives is poorly funded.  The charity is currently supporting work around stillbirth, epilepsy, meningitis, cerebral palsy and brain cancer, as well as some rare and distressing conditions that severely affect children.

Advance registration fee is £30 and there is a sponsorship target of £200.
