Cubitt & West have been raising money for Action Medical Research since 2010 and thanks to their efforts, they have been able to donate over £155,000!
This money has helped us to fund vital projects including Professor Christoph Tang’s research into a new vaccine that could prevent the damaging impacts of meningitis (MenB) as well as Professor Nikki Robertson’s research into whether drug treatment could help to boost the benefits of cooling, in babies with brain damage.
The estate agents, who have 48 branches across Sussex, Surrey and London, are part of Arun Estates. This group combines five brands to form the largest independent estate agency in the South East of England with over 110 branches in total.
Over the last six years’ teams and individuals have pushed themselves to the limit to raise funds for our charity by taking part in adrenaline-fuelled challenges – none more so than Group Managing Director David Lench.
David has been leading the charity fundraising, setting himself personal challenges such as the Three Peaks Bike & Hike, climbing Mount Kilimanjaro and most recently riding from Land’s End to John O’Groats! Since 2011, his solo total is over £69,000; almost half the amount of the whole company’s donations!
Just a few fun-packed and energetic events that Cubitt & West and other Arun Estates staff have tirelessly trained for and have accomplished are; Blenheim Triathlon, Box Hill Challenge, Kingston Run and Color Runs in London and Brighton.
Enthusiastic employees have also baked, dressed up, held fun family activities, organised car washes, quiz nights and gala dinners with such enthusiasm and dedication, to help to raise this impressive total.
