Over the last six years, Ward & Partners have been working hard and taking on an abundance of physical challenges to help raise over £155,000 for Action Medical Research.
The estate agents (who have 50 branches across Kent and East Sussex), have pushed themselves to the limit by taking part in events such as the Blenheim Triathlon, Box Hill Challenge, Kingston Run and Color Runs in both London and Brighton.
The branch teams have also been busy hosting cake sales, dress down days, cabaret evenings, quiz nights, car washes, gala dinners and dance tournaments, all to help raise funds for Action Medical Research.
In recent years, vital funds have gone towards projects such as Professor Christoph Tang’s research into whether a new vaccine could help to prevent the damaging impacts of meningitis. The new vaccine focuses on fighting the MenB bacteria, found in 90% of cases.
Last year, Ward & Partners helped to fund Professor Nikki Robertson’s research into whether drug treatment could help boost the benefits of cooling, in the cases of babies with brain damage.
Ward & Partners are part of the Arun Estates group who since 2010 have fundraised for our charity. The group are the largest independent estate agency in the South East of England, with over 110 branches operating under five different trading brands.
The longstanding partnership started when Group Managing Director David Lench, entered the Three Peaks Bike & Hike in 2010, raising £10,318.30. David has since challenged himself to climbing Mount Kilimanjaro and even riding from Land’s End to John O’Groats! Leading the fundraising from the front, the MD’s solo total is over £69,000; almost half the amount of the whole company’s donations!
Ever since 2010, Ward & Partners and the rest of the Arun Estates team, have shown continued enthusiasm, dedication and creativity which enables us to help more sick children and babies.
