What our celebrity supporters have been up to...

We’re celebrating 40 years of having Paddington Bear™ as our much-loved charity mascot. Paddington has been at the heart of our fundraising ever since his creator Michael Bond met the charity’s founder, Duncan Guthrie, back in 1976. Since then he has helped us raise millions of pounds.

Davina McCall hosted her ninth Dine with Davina lunch back in November, which raised an impressive £60,000. Actress Sarah Parish was also among the guests. Davina will be back on her bike for Action this summer for her Big Sussex Bike Ride.

Sir Chris Hoy MBE and Geraint Thomas MBE were surprise guests in a star-studded line-up for our biggest Champions of CycleSport Dinner yet, which raised almost £250,000. Chris Boardman MBE also returned as the event Ambassador.

Ahead of his stint in the jungle for I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! busy Tony Hadley sang for guests at a new ladies’ lunch in Kent and hosted the 11th Tony Hadley Golf Classic, organised by our Peterborough Committee of fundraisers.

Racing legend Sir Jackie Stewart was guest of honour at our 21st annual Celebration of Motorsport Dinner in Belfast, which raised more than £50,000.
