Tour of Ayrshire

with Gran Fondo + Chrono

29th and 30th of April 2017

A MIGHTY SCOTTISH ADVENTURE

GRAN FONDO & CHRONO

RIDE FOR LITTLE LIVES

We’re proud to be the official Tour of Ayrshire charity partner and we look forward to two stunning days in the saddle on these top-notch routes set in the impressive rolling landscape of south-west Scotland.

Two fantastic events in one fun filled weekend of cycling

Chrono

Saturday will see Kilmarnock hosting a top notch, highly produced mass participation time trial. The closed road Chrono, is open to those who yearn to experience what it’s like to be a pro! It is a qualifying event for the UCI World Championships. If you finish in the top 25% by age group then you’ll get an official invitation from the UCI to compete at the ’worlds’.

Gran Fondo

On Sunday things go large as thousands of riders hit the closed roads for the Marmotte Écosse Gran Fondo, part of the pan European Marmotte series. The Gran Fondo is open to all comers, so whether you are an elite racer, an athletic sports rider, a challenge rider, or just out to test yourself on a secure and safe closed road adventure then being a part of the first ever Tour of Ayrshire should be on your bucket list.

Fight for LITTLE Lives

Action fell in love with cycling over 20 years ago and our passion for cycling has grown ever since.

The thousands of cyclists that jump into the saddle and push themselves to the limits do so much to help save and change the lives of so many sick babies and children. So ride for a reason and help Action by being a part of the Tour of Ayrshire.

Chris Boardman says

“Action Medical Research is a fantastic charity, funding work that can help so many families. I know first-hand why the work that they fund is so essential after my son George was born six weeks prematurely - it’s the kind of work Action funds that made a huge impact on his life and was essential for his survival. It’s very easy to help – get on your bike at Tour of Ayrshire and ride for a reason.”
