The atmosphere was fantastic, the organisation was faultless, each member of the Action Medical Research team couldn’t have been more supportive, friendly and welcoming. We all enjoyed the night walk. It was truly incredible to watch the sunrise and dawn breaking.

Being a parent is about protecting your children, so when my eldest son lost his daughter a few hours after she was born I felt completely helpless. I saw this charity and event as seeing a way of doing my bit to help prevent another family suffering too. And what a challenge!!! The event was a real lifetime memory, the staff and organisation are fantastic and the welcome applause and cheers at each checkpoint (despite the bitter wind), was a real morale boost. If you're thinking about entering, then DO IT...! If you've already done it, then good on ya..! Keep on Plodding

We knew this was going to be a tough walk...but in reality we were way short of what it felt like. The event was brilliantly organised, from check in, briefing, celebrating at the first check in, right through to the final walk down the 18th fairway of Cleeve hill golf course. We experienced the dark, the (very) wet, the centre of a thunderstorm, the best breakfast, awesome views, sunshine, painful feet...and such a sense of pride having started together and finishing together...I (for one!) can't promise I'll do another year just yet (let's wait until the blisters and aching legs have subsided...but in short we'd absolutely suggest doing it for such a sense of elation and happiness at the end, and raising valuable funds for such a worthy cause. The AMR team were brilliant!...now for some sleep!!!!

Just wanted to say thanks very much for putting on such a well organised event, we all throughouly enjoyed most of it!
We have collectively all entered a few different things in the past (runs etc) and were really impressed with the smoothness and thoroughness of your event organisation. Sorry if I didn't express that sentiment very well on the day, I was shattered!

Well I am only just coming to terms with the 'pain in the rain' as I now like to refer to the Cotswold Plod 2011 as. What a fantastic day, full of highs and lows. I must say I thought the event was fantastically organised so thank you so so much for all your organisation and hard work. Right from the first checkpoint where we arrived to 'These Boots Are Made for Walkin' blasting from the sound system right through to that most magical of moments, meeting Paddington at the end!!!!!!! What more could I have asked for???? You had all clearly put a lot of thought and effort into the event and it really showed. The finish was just fantastic with the BBQ, the wine, the medal and the rousing cheers we came home to, not to forget Paddington!!!!!! It is an event I will never forget and we all feel so very proud and privileged to have taken part in the Cotswold Plod 2011 and having done so for such a great cause. What with the terrain, the lack of sleep, the distance and not to mention the rain it was a massive person effort for each of us as well as being a tremendous fundraising event. The generosity of our staff at Screen Solutions, our customers and suppliers and not to forgot family and friends was just tremendous. In the end our grand total was £4520 including Gift Aid. This is Sunday morning after finishing the Cotswold Way Plod yesterday afternoon so feeling rather stiff and sore but so pleased to have completed it and taken part. What a fantastic event. Well done to the organising team. It was a real challenge with all those hills but we were lucky with the weather and some of the views were amazing.
The encouragement from the marshalls at the checkpoints was very welcoming and the atmosphere at the end with the medals, t shirts, champagne and BBQ was great. As a team we went into it with no expectation other than to finish but were delighted to finish in 8th place and to raise over £1300.
Well done to everyone involved and I would really recommend it to any team of reasonably fit people who would like a bit of a challenge!!

Fantastic Weekend, quite simply the hardest thing iv ever done but so rewarding and alot of fun, the whole event was so fantastically organised and the organisers themself made the gruelling task much more enjoyable and bearable.
thanks to all the organisers who supported us from the off and got us to that finish line.
