We are looking for an experienced and energetic challenge events fundraising manager to join our busy challenge events team. You will be responsible for maximising income from a portfolio of running, cycling, UK trekking and team events with line management responsibility for the Challenge Events Fundraiser. You’ll work closely with the Head of Events in developing the event programme, recommending marketing and promotion campaigns for your events to meet recruitment targets, whilst identifying and building strong ongoing supporter relationships.
Candidates should be able to demonstrate a successful track record in a challenge events fundraising position. You will be proactive with the ability to plan and deliver a busy and varied workload. Excellent project management, relationship building, IT and marketing skills are essential. As the role involves supporting a number of events during the event season, you must be able to work flexible hours and weekends with time spent away from home.
Action Medical Research is an ambitious charity aiming to grow and deliver still more medical research to help children. With 65 years of history and roots in the development of the first UK polio vaccines, the charity has contributed to some amazing medical breakthroughs, like developing ultrasound in pregnancy, the rubella vaccine and cooling therapy for newborn babies.
