Action Medical Research is an ambitious charity aiming to grow and deliver still more medical research to help children. With over 60 years history and roots in the development of the first polio vaccines, the charity has contributed to some amazing medical breakthroughs, like developing ultrasound in pregnancy, the rubella vaccine and cooling therapy for newborn babies.
This is an exciting time to join our dynamic community fundraising team as we look to develop and grow new fundraising supporter groups and third party adoptions alongside our established committee and supporter group base. This role will be responsible for developing and maximising income from a range of activities, supporting the Community Fundraising Manager for the region to achieve agreed financial targets. In particular you will support and motivate existing committees and groups, identify and cultivate supporters and volunteers to develop new fundraising opportunities and partnerships.
Candidates should be able to demonstrate a successful track record of working in a similar community fundraising position. You will be a proactive self starter, comfortable with working independently with the ability to organise and prioritise a busy and varied workload. Excellent customer service, communication and IT skills are essential. You must be prepared to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends and travel throughout the region.
