Action Medical Research is an ambitious charity aiming to grow and deliver still more medical research to help children. With roots in the development of the first UK polio vaccines, the charity has contributed to some amazing medical breakthroughs, like developing ultrasound in pregnancy, the rubella vaccine and cooling therapy for newborn babies.
But medical research for children is underfunded and we urgently need to develop more new treatments and cures. That’s why we need you to help in our fight for little lives.
We are recruiting for a highly motivated and experienced fundraiser to lead and manage our fundraising activity in the east region. You will be responsible for developing and maximising fundraising income from committees and fundraising groups, third party partnerships and events (including two Ride100 bike rides). You will also represent Action attending key meetings and networking events and giving presentations on our work.
You will be proactive, highly organised and able to multi- task in busy periods. With exemplary interpersonal skills you will inspire our supporters to achieve great things for the charity. The role is home based within the area and you will need to be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. A full UK driving licence is essential.
