Action Medical Research is an ambitious charity aiming to grow and deliver still more medical research to help children. With over 60 years history and roots in the development of the first polio vaccines, the charity has contributed to some amazing medical breakthroughs, like developing ultrasound in pregnancy, the rubella vaccine and cooling therapy for newborn babies.
This is an exciting time to join our dynamic and newly formed major giving fundraising team as we look to develop and grow more support from high net worth individuals and corporate partners. This role will be responsible for providing prospect research to support donor cultivation and solicitation to achieve agreed financial targets. You will also support the preparation of funding proposals, assist in planning and delivery of solicitation events and act as a point of contact for potential and existing supporters.
Candidates should be able to demonstrate a track record in using desk based research techniques to aid income generation, the ability to assess and support new opportunities, be well organised and a strong planner and time manager. Excellent communication, IT and database skills (ideally Raisers Edge) are essential.
