Looking for a charity place to run in 2013
To apply for a place to run the Virgin London Marathon 2013 for Action Medical Research just click on the ‘Enter Now’ button and complete the application form, we will advise you if we can offer you a place. You will need to pay a £50 non-refundable deposit upon accepting our offer and agree to raise a minimum sponsorship of £1,800. Don’t worry if you haven’t raised this amount before, we have lots of ideas to get you started and you will be fully supported throughout your fundraising.
As part of the Take Action team you will receive excellent support before, during and after the race. We will provide you with:
- a training guide written with the help of former London Marathon WINNER Mike Gratton
- an online sponsorship account that you can personalise with photos and mini-blogs
- a discussion forum so you can talk to your fellow runners
- dedicated members of staff who can help answer any questions or worries you have
- post-race reception with food, drink, showers and masseurs
- noisy cheering parties to help you round the course!

- The chance to run as our mascot, Paddington, for an added challenge!

There are limited places so make sure you apply for a ballot place as soon as it opens at: www.virginlondonmarathon.com. Make sure you select Action Medical Research as your charity of choice when you register.
