Arun Estates are the largest independent estate agency in the South East of England, with over 110 branches operating under five different trading brands, and have been challenging themselves to take on gruelling walks, cycle rides and runs to fundraise for Action Medical Research since 2010!
In just six years, the company (who combine with four other South East based estate agencies to form Arun Estates) have helped to raise well over £150,000!
This mammoth figure has enabled us to fund important research into developing a new MenB vaccine and also to find out if drug treatment can work alongside cooling therapy to help babies suffering from brain damage.
Arun Estates’ Group Managing Director David Lench embarked on the first challenge – the Three Peaks Bike & Hike - in 2010. Since then he’s accomplished other personal challenges, including climbing Mount Kilimanjaro and most recently riding from Land’s End to John O’Groats and has raised over £69,000; almost half the amount of the whole company’s donations!
Clearly inspired and enthused by their MD’s amazing accomplishments, the rest of the team have taken part in Blenheim Triathlon, Box Hill Challenge, Kingston Run and Color Runs in London and Brighton. Employees have also organised many exciting events such as quiz nights, football tournaments, gala dinners, a dance competition, raffles and cake sales to raise further funds.
We would love to say a big thank you to all at Arun for their continued and tireless support. It has helped us to be able to care for babies and children suffering from devastating diseases.
